TV presenter of Discover Downunder Brooke Hanson is visiting South Gippsland Coastal Town Port Albert which is located 220km from Melbourne. Port Albert began as a thriving Port as Brooke discovers from Maritime Museum volunteer Bill Black who talks about the early days. In 1841 the port was the only one to service all of South Gippsland. There is plenty of history to see inside the museum, such as the 1841 Clonmel shipwreck memorabilia. The old bakery across the road is now an artist gallery run by Warren Curry who talks about his paintings from the town. Brooke’s last stop is at Port Albert Wharf fish and chip takeaway shop.
